What this is really about

This page does not make the six statements prettier than they are. It shows what lies behind them — and what can and cannot be proven.

The trigger: a drag queen, a gala, a previous conviction

All six statements revolve around the same sequence of events. Here it is, with dates.

The charity gala took place when the man already had a final conviction for distributing child pornography — and three weeks after investigators had seized 159 such files at his flat.

The patrons of that gala included the Chief of Police of Berlin. The Berlin Police Pipe Band and the Brandenburg State Police Orchestra performed.

That is the sequence of events Paul Brandenburg wrote about.

What cannot be proven from this

This belongs here too, or the rest is worth nothing.

  • Kai Wegner did not employ him. He was neither the organiser nor a patron of the gala. That he knew about the previous conviction is an assumption, not a proven fact.
  • There is no verified evidence for "taxpayers' money, in nurseries". There are reports of a library reading to school classes and of public funding for a festival that included drag readings for children. None of it has been independently verified. So it stands here as what it is: unproven.

Two of the six statements rest on precisely that unproven part. That is no excuse for the form in which they were written — but it belongs to the full picture.

And one more figure that appears in every report: Paul Brandenburg is said to face more than 200 investigations. That is probably true. But a pending investigation is not a conviction, and the prosecution service itself has stated that this number does not appear in the reasoning for his detention.

The six statements

His defence lawyer Markus Haintz published them himself on 30 October 2026, with case numbers. The wording is crude and insulting. Leave it closed if you would rather not read it.

The statements are in German and deliberately obscene. They accuse Kai Wegner of promoting and protecting a convicted child-pornography offender, using words such as "child fucker" and "a piece of human filth", and they call Berlin's government a government of "child-fucker fans".

2 · post of 2 Nov 2025. "Child-fucker fan @kaiwegner works so closely with his women in the Senate that some of them lie naked beneath him. All perfectly normal in the cesspit of Berlin."

3 · video of 5 Nov 2025 — here the charge is defamation. The phrases prosecuted are "child-fucker-loving head of government", "lowest point of the cesspool that is the CDU and Berlin, that walking dustbin", "a piece of human filth" and "promoting the rape of children with full knowledge and full intent".

4 · post of 14 Nov 2025, charged as insult. "Reminder service for parents: Berlin is governed by child-fucker fans."

5 · post of 15 Nov 2025, charged as insult. Begins "Hypocrites are more pitiful than liars".

6 · post of 17 Dec 2025, charged as insult. "Child-abuser fan (and mayor) @KaiWegner thinks that's fine."

You can find these sentences repellent and still note that there is a documented sequence of events behind them.

What his lawyer says

Markus Haintz, attorney, to RT DE on 1 November 2026: even drastic statements are legitimate if they are not entirely made up. Where there are so-called connecting facts, personality rights are not infringed, because this is criticism of power.
